It all started with a rare pack of Northern Lights #2 Regular seeds from the legendary The Seed Bank, bought during a trip to Amsterdam around 1992. After decades of careful storage, our breeder selected the most vigorous female from that original batch and used it to create a new generation — using only the most hardy, and structurally consistent male and female from the same vintage pool.
Through a selective pollination process over 2 generations, he found the traits that made NL#2 famous: compact growth, mold resistance, that unmistakable earthy/woody aroma, and high resin production. What you get today is a stable and true-breeding regular line that reflects the spirit of the early Dutch breeding era — before everything got crossed to Skunk and Cookies.
